How to use camera reflectance metering?

This meter is usually the on that is located inside of your camera. the readying is taken from the portion of the camera. This isn't reading the measure of light upon the subject but the light falling onto the subject. As a result images can be affected by this given not everything is on the same scale on the grey card. 

Hand Held Meter- Incident meter reading.

Simply place the meter with the correct settings in place in front of where the light will bounce or where the subject is, then take a reading from the incoming light. It is always best to take 3 readings to be sure. This measures the intensity of light reflecting off the subject as it bounces back to the reader. In some cases must hand help meters are able to read both reluctance and incident light meters.

what does Polarising do?

Polarising is done by attaching a polarising filter to your camera lens, These can be used to minimize reflections, reduce glare, add contrast to images and to darken the sky. Using a lens is much better than trying to achieve the same look in post production. There are no tools yet available to reduce glare and refection on an image.


Soft Box

This is a light modifier from an artificial light source into a wire framed box, the light is then released through diffusion giving a Softer light. This also minimises shadowing. The reflective walls of any soft box increase light intensity and escapes through the front panel/screen. Light tent

This piece of equipment I usually used In product photography.It is very practical as it can be used almost anywhere, it allows for individual shots especially those of small scale. Umbrella

Unique the soft box, the umbrella will give a light that closely resembles natural outdoor light. the light is dispersed further therefor making it much softer and more wide spread. This method of defusing light is popular due to how portable it is. Photon and  electromagnetic Spectrum

Photons are the smallest possible form of electromagnetic energy. These are used for more than illumination, they are otherwise just referred to as light. They are mass less and move at the speed of light in vacuum with no charge but are emitted through charge particles and radioactivity. They are extremely small and represented in images as squiggly lines.

As a photon energy cannot be divided, the energy is stored in an electromagnetic field. the longest ever wavelength of light has been best described as potentially being the size of the universe. Photons and electromagnetic spectrum have similar traits but a photon cannot be presented in colour, this is not possible as it cannot be detected by the human eye.

Dark Room Below I have shown examples of how I have started creating my darkroom images using a film camera up until completion.  Equipment used developing from Resin & Fibre based paper Enlarger for resin start from grade 3 Filter paper work from grade 2 Firstly it is best to create a contact sheet, this will allow us to see what exposure time is best used. From the film strip, place images in glass responder and use focus to create sharpness. Once the correct focus is created I used a piece of black card to cover approx 3 -4 inches of the image projection in order to see what best exposure was required. A piece of light sensitive paper is then placed in position and exposure time then begins. Each exposure time was then limited to 5 seconds each. Fine Art Photography Images This collective is what I want to achieve using my own view. I want to achieve a mood story in relation to people with an impulsive output but relating to surjects that affect people in todays culture. This would involve creating eye catching, controversial images taken from unusual angles with moody backgrounds and in unnatural poses. Below is a collection of images that reprise my vision of notion using people and portraiture and emotion. Pandemic Created using window lighting technique using Canon 2000d, 18-300mm lens, 1/20-f5-100.   My sitter is facing toward the window light in the centre of the image giving the face and the mask the main focus with the background darkened.  How I progressed this image is illustrated below. My thought process for this image was to create an image that portrays how a lot of people felt towards the end of isolation during the pandemic.
